Todd P. Kilpatrick – Partner

Todd Kilpatrick has been practicing law since his  admission to the Washington State Bar in 1977.  He is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound Sound School of Law, and has been practicing in the field of personal injury litigation for over 30 years. 

Mr. Kilpatrick's practice includes the representation of people injured in motor vehicle accidents, dog bite victims, and victims of medical malpractice.  He has also successfully gone to trial on premises liability cases, helping recover damages on behalf of clients injured in falls due to defective staircases. 

Todd Kilpatrick is a charter member of the Tacoma South Rotary Club, and is also a member of the Pierce County Bar Association, the Washington State Bar Association, and the Washington State Association for Justice. 

Mr. Kilpatrick has also served as an arbitrator with the Pierce County Superior Court on cases assigned to mandatory arbitration.

 
 
 

Jeanette M. Coleman – Partner

Jeanette Coleman was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1985.  Prior to her admission to practice law, she attended Seattle University [where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1982].   She then attended the University of Puget Sound School of Law, where she graduated Cum Laude in 1985.

Ms. Coleman has over 20 years experience in in the field of personal injury law.  Her practice emphasizes the representation of dog bite victims, and the representation of clients hurt in automobile accidents.

Ms. Coleman is also very active in the area of dispute resolution, serving as an Arbitrator for the Pierce County Superior Court Mandatory Arbitration Program, and also serving as a volunteer mediator for the Pierce County District Court's Center for Dispute Resolutions.

Ms. Coleman is a member of the Pierce County Bar Association, the Washington State Bar Association, and the Washington State Association for Justice.

Ms. Coleman is also a board member of the Communities in Schools of Tacoma, and is a Charter Member of the Tacoma South Rotary Club.


 
 
 

Christopher J. Mahoney – Partner

Christopher Mahoney has been with the Law Offices of Paine, Kilpatrick, Coleman & Mahoney, P.S. since the summer of 1991 (when he was hired as a law clerk while still attending law school).  Mr. Mahoney was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1993, and has been practicing law for over 15 years.

Mr. Mahoney is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound School of Law in Tacoma, Washington.  Prior to law school, he attended the University of Oregon where he received his Bachelor's Degree in 1987.  

Mr. Mahoney's practice emphasizes resolving insurance disputes; helping victims of automobile and motorcycle accidents, slip & fall victims, and victims of dog bites in claims against insurance companies. He also serves as an arbitrator for the Pierce County Superior Court.

Mr. Mahoney is an active member in the Tacoma community.  He served on the Parent Advisory Committee and Site Council for the Clover Park 5-12 School.  He is also a member of the Pierce County Bar Association, the Washington State Bar Association and the Washington State Association for Justice.

 

 


Terry L. Paine – Of Counsel

Terry Paine (now retired) was a founding attorney at   the Law Offices of Paine, Kilpatrick, Coleman & Mahoney,   starting the practice in 1976 immediately after his    admission to practice law.  Terry Paine was a graduate of the University of Puget Sound (where he received his Bachelor Degree) and earned his law degree at the University of Puget Sound School of Law.

Terry Paine practiced law on a full-time basis for almost      30 years, before retiring in May, 2006.  Over the course   of those years, his practice emphasized personal injury    claims, particularly medical malpractice, birth injuries and   automobile accidents. 

Today, though he is retired from the daily practice of        law, Terry Paine continues to provide advice and     experience at the office on an "of counsel" basis.

Terry Paine is a lifetime resident of Tacoma, Washington, and has also served as the President of the Working Waterfront Maritime Museum. He is also a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association, the Pierce County Bar Association, and was a charter member of the Tacoma South Rotary Club.
